Very poor customer service, bad management #isupportfarmers

This is a horrific store with poor customer service. The owner exploits workers and has a horrific human rights record. He is now exploring poor farmers too further profit from their misery and misfortunesBoycotting this brand and strongly advise against shopping here

My experience with Hamleys has been very positive so I was surprised to read the other reviews. I ordered a present for my grandson on Thursday afternoon and it was delivered the following Wednesday.. It was packaged very well and it was £7 cheaper than Amazon.

Hamleys - The worst toy shop in the word!I ordered a couple of toys for my nephews Christmas presents on the 13th December and its still not arrived. The first parcel was 'lost in transit'. The second shipment just didnt arrive despite it being reshipped on 01st Feb. I called Hamleys who keep telling me there have been system errors and just dont have the stock, Rather than communicate this they decided to keep my money until they received another unhappy call from me chasing for my parcels.I just hope I get my refund. Probably take them 3 months to process.Its no wonder Hamleys are not doing as well as they used to. Its a sad shame. I will not be a returning customer,

Absolute disgrace of a company with even more shocking communication. Never ever again will I order from this incompetent excuse for a company!!

I am writing this to express my complete disappointment with the service received from Hamley's.I placed an order on 12.12.20 online expected delivery 3-5days. As I had not received my delivery within this time, I contacted customer services 18.12.20 and was told that they were experiences delays with deliveries due to Covid which was completely understandable but was ensured that my items would reach me before Christmas.So after being assured, I patiently waited until Christmas Eve, but unfortunately I still hadn't received my items. I called Customer Services again on 24.12.20 to follow up the tracking of my order, but to my despair I was informed that my order would not reach me in time for Christmas and in fact my package had not even been dispatched from the warehouse. This was a complete disappointment as these were Christmas presents for my daughter and the thought of not having these in time for Christmas made me feel awful.I have been a lifelong customer of Hamleys since I was a child and have always had fond memories of the store, so for me this has now tarnished my experience and faith within the company I loved.As a business owner, I can completely sympathise with the awful year we have all experienced due to Covid and the alterations that have had to be made to business operations. That being said, my order was processed, payment was taken and at no point was I made aware that there was a possibility of my order not reaching me before Christmas. Hamley's promotes themselves as ‘the best toy shop in the world’... far from that. To not delivery toys for Christmas without notification is totally unacceptable and disappointing. I will never shop with Hamleys again.

Terrible. I ordered a gift for my nephew on 13th December, much encouraged by the guarantee that it would be delivered prior to Christmas. Didn’t arrive. I have emailed them several times and only after emailing them for the third time threatening to head to mumsnet or twitter did I get a response. The response is bs - doesn’t say when the thing will be delivered, and just says it’s in the system and if I want to cancel the order I can. I can see they’ve been touting for NY business and I don’t know why anyone would bother with them. Their customer service sucks.

Ordered from Hamleys on 10th December, called them on 13th to check if all items were in stock told they would defiantly get this out pre-Christmas. called them 6 times up to 23rd December asked to speak to a manager 6 times still waiting. Tried to get them to offer click and collect they refused tried to get a refund they refused, 30th December 1 of the items turned up called them again told item was in stock but coming out this week from second warehouse. still waiting. Never have a seen so bad customer services from such a well known brand. I have contacted trading standards who will now speak to this shower of s*it and I've contacted London evening standard, Sky News and BBC as Hamleys seem to like the publicity

I ordered a Christmas present on the 14th of December, way before the 20th of December cut off point which later changed to the 18th of December. I contacted customer services on the 19th who told me it had been placed and would be processed as soon as possible. Cut to the 29th of December and I haven't had a dispatched email so I can only imagine that means it still hasn't been processed. I emailed customer services on the 27th and the 28th and have received nothing back yet. It's pathetic from such a famous and big company that they can't even stick to delivery dates they themselves have set. Thankfully the gift was for a niece that had many other people buying for her and is too young to notice my present wasn't there. Shameful, Hamleys - I'd cancel the order if I believed I'd be able to get through to anyone.

Worst Customer Service Ever.Ordered with plenty of time (28th November).Not dispatched until early December - then the parcel was lost in transit.I had to chase them - they said they would investigate - then I had to chase them again!At which point they said "well - we can't guarantee it will arrive before Christmas!!" I suggested that given the circumstances they arranged for next day delivery (other companies were offering this service for a considerable time after!!). There response was pretty much tough!!I will never use them again.

Placed an order on 12th of December and have received nothing yet. Emailed a week ago and no reply. Very dissappointing. However last time I ordered there was no problem and the delivery was quick.

Ordered well before Xmas, presents shown as in stock, paid and guess what no delivery.Contacted customer services and basically got fobbed off. Had requested a refund (22nd) as Xmas delivery unlikely, at this time 5pm on the 24th no delivery or response, nor refund. Totally pointless giving a Christmas present in the new year to a small child.

Ordered Christmas present on 13/12/20. Now 22nd Dec. Have heard nothing re shipment, customer service doesn't answer. Can only see grandson for 1 day on the 25th and now strongly suspect my present will be absent. I wish I had read reviews before ordering but I suspect like many others I was taken in by Hamleys OLD reputation.
